My name is KaJay, and I’m excited to finally be building what feels like a lifelong goal in dog care! 🥹
Although I’ve always been creative, I spent much of my childhood wanting to become a veterinarian. Over time, that dream shifted into a career in art and design — but my love for dogs never went anywhere.
More than 12 years later, I’ve built a career as a graphic designer and semi-professional mountain biker, while continuing to pet sit, dog walk, and care for animals along the way. I’ve also spent the last few years raising and training my own pup, Kona (who just turned 3 years old ❤️ )
Kona and I have traveled everywhere together — beaches, mountains, road trips, plane rides, and all kinds of everyday adventures in between. She’s been learning and training since she was just a tiny six-month-old nugget.
Like a lot of people, there was a stretch of time when work got busy and her days became much smaller than I wanted them to be. Long hours and packed schedules meant more quick potty walks and fewer real adventures. I know I’m not the only dog owner who’s felt that.
Field Day grew from that experience — and from the belief that dogs deserve more than waiting around for the day to end.

Like most dog parents, my goal is to give Kona the best life possible. Long before she was mine, any dog I cared for was treated with patience, attention, and genuine affection.
And just like people, dogs are all different. Some are outgoing, some are shy, some are highly tuned in, and some like to take their time. Approaching each dog as an individual is what makes good care work well.
That’s what Field Day is built around: getting to know dogs as they are, then creating safe, fulfilling adventures that fit their pace, personality, and needs
Kona and I would love to welcome you to the Dog Club. If Field Day sounds like the right fit for your pup, we’d love to meet you both and start planning some very good days
